He did this when he came out of prison…

In this episode, I want to share a very powerful piece of advice I gave to a friend of mine who I recently had a phone conversation with.

This individual is in prison and he will be released shortly. It’s no secret that prison is often associated with negativity and failure, and this can absolutely devastate one’s mindset.

It can be very difficult to recover emotionally after being released from prison. The same applies for someone who experiences several setbacks or a huge failure.

As we all know we all have mental prisons and that is why I created this video to compare what he was about to confront in his new stage of life and how you can apply the same to your life to experience new peak performance levels.

I created this video to help you confront any issues you are currently dealing with and compare your situation to those who may face even greater challenges in their life.

Statistics indicate that 80% of inmates return to prison at some point in their lives.

According to the Bureau of Justice, about two-thirds (68%) of prisoners released in 30 states in 2005 were arrested for a new crime within 3 years of release from prison, and roughly three-quarters (77%) were arrested again within 5 years.

Without doing the research, I would venture to say from my personal experience in coaching hundreds of entrepreneurs that the numbers are very close for people who fail in projects and never rebound.

Now I want to share the conversation I shared with this individual before he was released from prison.

I told him that if he wants to increase his chances of never returning to prison, he should undergo a 90-day positive mindset plan.

I went on to tell him that if you don’t commit to changing your environment and the individuals you associate yourself with, you run the risk of relapsing into whatever situation got you in trouble the first time around.

In my friend’s case, if he does not commit to transforming his mindset, he may find himself back in prison.

Similarly, if you do not commit to transforming your mindset after experiencing failure, then you could also revert back to your old ways and repeat past mistakes.

The 90-day positive mindset recovery plan consists of three actions.

The first action is to seek out 2 to 4 positive role models — individuals who you admire and aspire to be like. Ask them for advice and if you can call them whenever you feel weak or fall into a state of depression.

Second, you must seek some spirituality. For example, you could attend your local church or synagogue, join a bible studies group or develop a daily meditation practices.

The third action is to read something positive every single day. These positive words of wisdom will keep you from going back to your old ways and provide you with advice when you don’t know the right decision to make.

If you follow these 3 steps for a minimum of 90 days, you will form new habits that will lead to new levels of productivity.

I know it may be very difficult to commit, but you have to be willing to go through an uncomfortable situation to break the limiting barrier that is holding you back from succeeding on a very high level.

I guarantee that if you can persist for 90 days through this positive mindset recovery plan, you will be unrecognizable.
